  • What is the duty-free purchase limit for Korean nationals?
    There is no purchase limit for Korean nationals. However for those entering the country, the maximum amount for tax exemption is USD 800 per person, including the items purchased at a duty-free shop and abroad.
    - 2 bottles of alcoholic beverage up to 2L and USD 400
    - Up to 200 cigarettes (excluding alcohols and tobacco carried by minors who are 19 years old or younger).

  • Can I use the shop when traveling to Jeju Island?

    Travelers to Jeju Island will still be in the country, so they cannot use the duty-free shop

  • I returned from an overseas trip, and can I buy products from the shop?

    Tariff Act stipulates that one can shop at a duty-free shop only when going out of the country. As purchased products can only be delivered at a pick up counter at Departures, those coming into the country or who have entered the country are not allowed to purchase products from the shop.

  • Must the purchaser be the same as the person going out of the country?

    Yes, and the person who is traveling out of the country must walk in with his or her passport to make a purchase.

  • What is the deadline for purchasing products?

    A customer can purchase products as early as 60 days before the day of departure. However, the deadline varies with the airport you are departing from, so please check it before you make a purchase.

  • What documents are required for duty-free shopping?

    A customer who is going out of the country must hold travel information (departure date, airport, flight or voyage) and his or her passport(copy of passport also allowed)

  • Anyone can use the duty-free shop?

    Only those customers whose travel abroad has been finalized can use the shop, for their purchased items can be picked up at the pick up counter, provided they walk in on the day of departure with their passport and E-Ticket. Also, a customer must hold their passport and E-Ticket to purchase products from the shop.

  • If my items fail to be delivered, can I cancel the purchase?

    As for items that fail to be picked up on departure may be picked up by the customer on leaving the country within a month, or you can request a refund. If you are traveling out of the country again, please provide your arranged departure to Customer Center at 1688-8800. In case your ordered items are sent to the airport, you can defer your pick-up for up to 30 days. If you don't plan to travel abroad again within 30 days, please cancel the purchase.

    * As for items that fail to be picked up on departure, we arrange for your refund or deferred pick-up at your next travel abroad. However, those items that fail to be picked up within 30 days from a customer's departure are automatically cancelled with warning from the customs.

  • How can I apply for replacement or refund of a purchased item?

    How to apply for replacement or refund
    Notify Customer Center (+82-2-2195-8000) of your intent to get a replacement or a refund.

    Precautions for a replacement or a refund
    A delivered product can be replaced or refunded within 30 days from the date it is picked up. Replacement or refund is impossible, in case a product is lost or damaged for reasons that the customer is responsible for, or the value of the product is significantly reduced from its use by the customer. If a product is different from how it is described or advertised or is defective, a customer can replace or refund it within 3 months from the date it is delivered or 30 days from the date the customer learns or can learn about the problem. Even when a customer is eligible for replacement or a refund, it requires compliance with the following procedure as specified by Tariff Act.

    A. Goods to be replaced or refunded exceed $800
    · Korean nationals: the customer must entrust the items to the customs on entering the country. · Foreigner: the customer must request it by mail from overseas or declare and entrust the items to the customs on entering the country to be eligible for replacement or a refund. Firearms and liquids cannot be shipped by international mail and can only be refunded.

    B. Goods to be replaced or refunded are worth $800 or less
    A customer may have them replaced or refunded without mailing in a request or declaring and entrusting them to the customs.

  • My departure date has been changed. What should I do?

    In case your departure date is changed, please notify Customer Center of The Shilla I'PARK Duty Free Shop. (Call Center +82-2-2195-8000)
    Should you wish to change your departure date after 90 days of purchase, please upload your travel document on our website 1:1 board.

  • My departure airport today is Gimpo International Airport, but it has been changed to Incheon as required by my flight. What should I do?

    If the change occurs on the day of departure, you may not be able to pick up your product. To ensure your product pick-up, a changed departure date must be provided to us no later than 2 to 3 days before your departure.

  • In case passport numbers don't match, can I pick up my products?

    Using a duty-free shop requires that a customer's passport number matches the number on the passport you hold as you depart. If your passport has been reissued, you must hold your new passport. And in case you purchase products with your old passport, you must contact us to change to your new passport no later than 4 days before your departure so that you can pick up items on the day of departure. However, in case any of your products has been sent to the airport, you must cancel the purchase and make a new purchase.

  • Can I pick up products as I return to the country?

    Tariff Act stipulates that purchased products can only be delivered at a pick up counter at Departures. Products can be picked up as you depart from the country, and they cannot be picked up as you arrive to the country. Products cannot be purchased after you enter the country, nor be picked up by delivery service.

  • I am departing from the country early in the morning. Can I pick up products?

    The pick up center for the Shilla I'PARK Duty Free Shop is available for your departure time, so you can pick up your products even if you leave early in the morning.

  • How do I pick up my products?

    You can pick up your products at the pick up center designated for the Shilla I'PARK Duty Free Shop, after you pass the immigration at the airport (or the passenger terminal of a port). A customer who is going to out of the country must hold his or her passport and E-Ticket that provides detailed travel information to get their products from the pick up center.
